Whether you are a Brisbane local that feels like a romantic getaway but can’t afford one right now or a tourist visiting Brisbane and looking for interesting places to dine, these themed restaurants in Brisbane will transport you to beautiful faraway places for a fraction of the price.
La Dolce Vita
A mini romantic escape to Italy and Paris.
Featuring a detailed mini Eiffel Tower in the centre of the restaurant, La Dolce Vita starts you off with an unforgettable experience from the moment you set eyes on it. Step through a row of statues into the restaurant where you will soon be seated at Parisian styled seats and given your menu full of delicious meals to choose from. The pizza and pasta dishes are only this good where it originated in Europe! Click here for more info.
Byblos Bar and Restaurant
A quick romantic escape to the Mediterranean.
It’s easy to fall in love with the beautiful interiors of Byblos Bar and Restaurant which include lusciously draped curtains, soft lighting and decorative furniture that capture the imagination. The modern Lebanese and Mediterranean inspired cuisine is described on their website as combining “eastern flavours, ingredients and spirit, with western technique, method and refinement.” Click here for more info.
Sultan’s Restaurant
A little romantic escape to Turkey.
With its bright, decorative details the Sultan’s Restaurant stands out from the moment you see it – what better way to get away if you feel like it than going to a place that looks nothing like its surroundings. If you choose a night where there’s belly dancing, there won’t just be the beautiful decorations and delicious Turkish food to get lost in, the music will transport you too! Click here for more info.
Eat Street Northshore
Around the world in one night!
Not really a restaurant, but Eat Street Northshore consists out of different food stalls where many are wonderfully decorated according to the part of the world that the cuisine they serve is typically from. Just perfect for those nights that you can’t quite decide what you feel like or where in the world you’d like to go! Wander around to find beautiful river views during sunset or Insta-worthy spots perfect for two such as under the neon pink L O V E sign. Click here for more info.
Cloudland
It’s out of this world.
Why limit yourself to exploring cities of the world when you can head off into space? This restaurant has elements that reminds me of a spaceship. If you look carefully, there’s a sizeable alien statue behind the water feature (so it’s not just me!). Forgive yourself if you can’t see it, there’s SO much to look at with the astounding amount of decorative details that makes this place so unique. Try to go on a Thursday night when you can enjoy some sexy Salsa Dancing too after tasting their delicious Italian cuisine. Click here for more info.
