Looking for fun date ideas in Brisbane? It’s taken me a while to add this recommendation here because hubby and I just been so busy enjoying this activity over and over again!
Here are a few reasons why going roller skating or blading with your partner at Stafford Skate Centre is a great date idea:
Some tips for couples visiting the Stafford Skate Centre for a date:
If you haven’t skated before or for a long time, don’t worry. Affordable beginner lessons are taught at the Stafford Skate Centre every Wednesday night and Saturday morning. If you go for a lesson on a Saturday morning, the lesson price includes a skating session after the lesson!
Feeling nervous? Not to worry, there are plenty of staff on hand that are happy to help out if you struggle to get your skates on, need some tips or even a hand to get up if you fall which is nothing to be ashamed of – it seems to be a common occurrence as so many people are learning.
There seems to be plenty of kids in the morning sessions, but I’ve found the evening sessions have a lot more adults. When we went on a Saturday evening, the vibe was different to the morning or afternoon sessions – the lights were dimmed, and many of the songs that played were love songs. For those reasons, Saturday night is our favourite time to go skating! As there are usually a fair few children around, adults seem to keep public affection to the minimum.
Over the holiday periods, the Stafford Skate Centre has plenty more sessions available to enjoy during the week too which is just the best! We find skating is so much fun that we can’t get enough of it – we would skate every day if we could 😀
If you and your partner love skating as much as we do, you can consider treating each other to gifts from the shop for your next Birthday, anniversary, Christmas or Valentine’s Day!
