Mon Ami Gabi Romantic French Bistro with Views

This beautiful classic style French Bistro serves your traditional french fare, including steak and oysters. Called Mon Ami Gabi, it’s ornate turquoise painted European style architecture and patio canopies make you feel like you’ve been transported to a Parisian street. 

If the restaurant wasn’t already romantic enough, you sit opposite the famous and beautiful Bellagio fountains that light up and dance to music at intervals during your meal.

It’s the perfect location for a romantic night or celebration. Plus the food is delicious!

We managed to get a good table outside close to where you can see the fountains. The street can get a little bit busy with people walking up and down the strip but you get used to it after a little while. The food was delicious and as someone who loves oysters, I made sure to order these first.

We definitely learnt from our own mistakes when visiting Mon Ami Gabi, we left our booking too late and ended up not getting a table for the evening. Instead, we opted for lunch. While we did very much enjoy our meal and the fountains during the day. As they do still dance in the day time. Due to the way the fountains light up, it is definitely a much better atmosphere and experience on the evening or night.

Tips for dining at Mon Ami Gabi 

I highly recommend to visit this restaurant in the evening, so you can truly enjoy the beautiful lit up fountains. It’s better to book at least a few days in advance, especially if it’s the weekend and you want a good table on the patio.

If you’re vegetarian or vegan, there aren’t that many options as most of the dishes are either steak, chicken or seafood. Though they do have a selection of a few salads and french onion soup or baked goat’s cheese for starters if you’re vegetarian. Depending on your budget, there is a range of meals from $20 up to $50. So you can customize this experience based on how much you prefer to spend and watching the fountains is free!

Enjoy a romantic stroll after dinner

Once you’ve finished your food, you can take a romantic walk closer to the fountains and watch the next show. They change the songs at different intervals so it’s super romantic to get up close and stand on the terrace together watching them.
