Lucky Lake Hostel is anything but your traditional hostel. The two person caravans painted in bright
colors make for a cheerful location to wake up in. Situated outside Amsterdam (and with a free shuttle
service to and from the metro), Lucky Lake Hostel is the perfect way to experience the hustle and bustle
of Amsterdam with a quiet retreat at night for a decent price.

The hostel grounds themselves are near a lake which, during the warm months, you can swim, boat, or
do yoga next to. On the property you’ll find a smoking lounge (weed is allowed on the premises), a non-
smoking lounge, a breakfast bus (free breakfast is included), unlimited hot showers, an outdoor kitchen,
and a large outdoor lounge space. There are also two mixed dorms and a smaller four person women’s
dorm. They also provide free wifi!

While not the cheapest hostel around, you’ll still be getting a good deal for your money due to the space
and amenities provided. If you’re looking for an affordable but still romantic experience in Amsterdam,
look no further than Lucky Lake Hostel! We absolutely loved staying and would happily return. The only
negative: limited vegan options for breakfast but beyond that no complaints! All in all, Lucky Lake Hostel is a fantastic place to set as your home base for the city, and it makes for a great place to photograph Amsterdam!
