Do you love to share extraordinary experiences with your partner? Then this is the luxury Bali accommodation for you! Bambu Indah is one of the most unique resorts in Bali for couples and situated in Ubud.

I fell in love with Bambu Indah Resort after seeing it on Instagram for the first time. And no wonder – it’s hard to find any part of Bambu Indah Resort that is not Insta-worthy!

It seemed like the perfect place to have an unforgettable stay on my birthday.

We booked our stay at Bambu Indah Resort through Booking.com and chose to have a romantic stay in one of the tents that sit on floating platforms among Mahogany trees and overlook the Ayung River valley.

I didn’t read up about the accommodation before going, and so we were stunned to learn that our tent was at the peak of a cliff. Getting to it was an adventure in itself and involved our suitcase being repacked into a duffel bag that the staff carried to our tent for us. We comfortably walked in wonder behind a Bambuh Indah staff member as he led the way to our accommodation.

I can’t remember ever experiencing such a fascinating 10-minute long walk to a hotel room from reception – we were mesmerized by all the natural beauty and structural wonders.  The unique Bambu Inda experience includes crossing over swinging bridges, climbing spiral staircases, and … well, I feel you should go and discover this magical place for yourself to find out!

Or if you don’t mind spoilers… come with me and I’ll take you on the same walk through Bambu Indah through the video below:

We thoroughly enjoyed our romantic stay in our tent. It had no walls and therefore, some of the best unspoiled views a couple could want. The fresh air and sounds of nature added to the unforgettable experience. At night, we used the fascinating retractable mosquito net to cover our bed. There was a bottle of wine and wine glasses in the room too, which was just the cherry on top or this romantic escape!

On my birthday, Bambu Indah Resort surprised me with a flower arrangement on our doorstep that spelled out “Happy Birthday.” It was such a lovely and thoughtful surprise, which was later followed by a delicious piece of cake! They went the extra mile in making our stay very special.

We spent most of my birthday relaxing in the natural swimming pools. We loved that instead of having one large pool, the resort has many smaller pools separated by rocks, and we would always have one all to ourselves. Around the pools were unique seating areas, swinging and deck chairs to relax in. There was also a stunning view of the river where at night, a lady would come to light up what looked like tealight candles.

If you’re looking for a bite to eat while relaxing by the pools, the cafe Riverside Warung is nearby. It’s a nestlike structure that offers a unique dining experience of sitting on pillows around round tables resting on top of bamboo platforms. Interestingly, all of the dishes they serve are grown and prepared locally on the property with farm-to-table cooking and eating at the Bambu Kitchen too, which is another visually enticing dining area.

One of our favorite experiences at Bambu Inda was watching the sunset in an area they have specially set up for sunset gazing. The views are just delightful. It was also around this area where we saw with our own eyes – that Bambuh Indah also offers couples one of the most beautiful and romantic dining experiences. The gorgeous romantic dinner they set up is ideal for celebrating any special occasion – be it a birthday, proposal, or anniversary celebration.

Couples can also enjoy a couple’s massage by the river, which I now wish we did!

This resort is as they describe it themselves: “For the lovers, the adventurers, the dreamers and the daring.”
