What our experience with the paint by number kit was like

We excitedly included our kits when we packed a picnic to enjoy at one of our favourite picnic spots with scenic views – Tinchi Tamba Wetlands Reserve.

The kits conveniently include:

• Mini tubs of numbered and premixed acrylic paint colours.
• A set of good quality wooden paintbrushes.
• The 20cm x 20cm numbered canvas.
• Optional easel and instructions card.

We only needed to add a jar of water to clean our brushes with as we alternated between applying different colours.

If you have yet to try painting by numbers – it’s not hard at all – the Acozyscene team has made it super simple and enjoyable. The colours needed to complete your picture each arrive premixed inside a little tub with a number corresponding to the canvas area it’s for.

Hubby can’t remember ever doing a paint-by-numbers in his lifetime and he found it easy to do – the kits are beginner-friendly. As an experienced artist, I loved how easy and relaxing it was as an activity after a big week.

We finished our artworks around the same time – in under 2 hours, painting at a relaxed pace, taking in the sunset, sipping on wine and nibbling on our tasty picnic spread.

The hardest part was honestly choosing between all the gorgeous paint-by-numbers designs. We chose Ocean Sun and Adventure – both designs perfectly suit romantic explorers or nature lovers.
